Azerbaijani epee fencer Ruslan Hasanov won a bronze medal at the World Championship among juniors held in Torun, Poland.
Ruslan Hasanov, who scored 6 out of 6 victories in the group stage, entered the direct elimination round 2nd in the overall ranking of the tournament. In play-off, Ruslan won against fencers from Greece, Romania, Neеherlands, Israil and Hungary. He reached the semi-finals of the World Championship and became the first Azerbaijani fencer in the modern history of national fencing to win the medal of the youth world championship.
